Style - Screen Actors Guild Awards 2016 the fashion, the jewellery and the beauty hits!

There is nothing I love more than poring over the fashion and beauty at an awards ceremony, and in preparation for the big one (28th February its the Oscars people! One year I actually booked the day off work the next day so I could watch the whole thing live - bordering on insanity) I've been looking at the beauty and fashion looks from the Screen Actors Guild Awards held last Saturday on 30th January.

The Fashion
I felt the dresses on the night fell into two categories, Colour Pop Brights and Neutrals and Blacks. The above are my 6 favourite colour pop bright looks - a rainbow of gorgeousness!
1. Emilia Clarke in Dior
2. Sophia Vergara in customer Vera Wang
3. Lily Rabe in Lela Rose
4. Marisa Tomei in Zuhair Murad - this beautiful Verdant Green was definitely one of the colours of the night

5. Maisie Williams in Ermanno Scervino
6. Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture
Neutral looks - nude black and white
1. Queen Latifah in Michael Costello
2. Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab
3. Kate mara in Valentino
4. Saiorse Ronan in Michael Kors
5. Julianne Margulies in Antonio Beradi
6. Helen Mirren flying the flag for Britain in Jenny Packham

The Beauty and The Jewels
Above are just a few of the beauty looks I adored on the red carpet.
1. Priyanka Chopras bold pink lip teamed with her natural pearl and diamond accessories, those four drop earrings are to die for.
2. Alicia Vikander - Aside from this being my favourite dress of the evening (as you may know I love a sequin, and this spectacular colum dress had about 10 million), that dark metallic gold eye and liquid feline flick look beautiful. Not too sure about the earring choice but, they are Louis Vuitton High Jewellery after all, so you cant get it too wrong.
3. January Jones complemented her ice blue Schiaparelli Haute Couture Gown perfectly with a sultry smoky eye and fine gold twisted hoops.
4. Brie Larson - After watching her incredible performance in room, Brie is an actress who's star is set to sky rocket. Her dress was slightly out there, but I loved the contrasting Apple red lips and stick drop diamond earrings.
5. Emilia Clarke's fresh youthful makeup and jewel popping Dior earrings were just gorgeous
6. Julianne Moore - A Givenchy Couture gown in lime green sequins isn't the easiest to compliment with make up, but Julianne got it just right with fresh pink lips and diamond chandeliers.

My 3 Favourite Looks of the Night
1. Alicia Vikander in this unbelievably beautiful Louis Vuitton colour-block sequinned column dress - a difficult look to pull off and may not have worked as well on anyone else, she carries it off with aplomb
2. Kiernan Shipka in Erdem - The youthful strapless look, the corsetry elements, along with the most beautiful floral fabric Erdem do so incredibly well make this dress a winner
3. Marisa Tomei in Zuhair Murad - I mentioned this Verdant Green earlier as being the colour of the night, Murad always makes such exquisite creations and this is no exception, the beading, gathered waist and plunging neckline cement this dress as one of the looks of the night.

So what were your favourite looks from the SAG awards 2016?
