In love with Chanels new Healthy Glow foundation and sheer powder

So I finally got around to getting my hands on the newest addition to the easy to wear Chanel Les Beiges Range - the healthy glow foundation launched on Jan 15th. I rarely review foundations, mainly because to be honest, I've never really found one I absolutely love. I'm very conscious of feeling like my base is too heavy, and certain brands I have used in the past have always made me feel a little too 'smothered', especially for everyday. For the last 6 + years I have been using Mac Studio Face and Body foundation, which basically looks and feels like a tinted moisturiser, with easily buildable coverage. However in the quest for a foundation  that I can use for evenings and those days when I need a little extra help - I seem to have found the perfect partner.

Firstly, as with all Chanel beauty products really lets be honest, the packaging is a dream. I love the smaller size and frosted glass that fits perfectly into my make up bag, as well as the pump action dispenser which gives you just enough and avoids any mess (those glass bottles with a screw off lid - the stuff of foundation mess nightmare!)

I went for shade No 20 (yes I'm very pale - its winter!) to give me something slightly darker to build towards in Summer. The formulation contains the dream ingredient hyaluronic acid, as well as illuminating pigments complemented by a very light floral scent. I LOVE it. There has been a certain buzz in the beauty world about this product and i really can see why. More of a cream than a liquid, it gives sheer to medium coverage, and a nice level of luminosity without being too dewy. Basically, its great and a perfect foundation addition for anyone with dry to normal skin.

In the Les Beiges Sheer powder I went for the lightest shade 10, with pinky undertones. The packaging is beautiful, and the mini brush is a great applicator for on the go. Primarily I'm using this as a setting/finishing powder on top of the liquid foundation, and I'm loving it because its mattifying without giving that 'powdery' type look. If your looking for very light powder coverage that wont set in pores or fine lines, then this is the one.

What are your beauty favourites?
